Resolution of Reality

Description

We believe we are looking at each other through screens, but in reality, we only face fragments trapped in a grid of pixels. By colliding the organic medium of ceramic with a digital device, this installation highlights the limitations of how we perceive the world. The viewer’s reflection in the camera loses its physical form and dissolves into pixels. Because pixels simultaneously reflect and confine the subject, the piece demonstrates that an image on a screen can never fully represent true reality.
