The Objective
The client provided a list of 100 words and requested a dynamic 3D typographic animation using a 10x10 grid of dice. With a pixelated, Minecraft-inspired aesthetic, the goal was to randomly distribute these words to create a chaotic atmosphere, while ensuring that specific phrase combinations emerged clearly across 9 distinct cycles.
The Approach
I developed a procedural system to ensure an even distribution of random words without heavy overlapping. This setup allowed me to precisely choreograph the 9 message cycles. To maintain technical control over the visual chaos, I restricted the dice rotations to strict horizontal and vertical axes. I also applied dynamic cube scaling and targeted glow effects to highlight the hidden messages the moment they appeared. Throughout the project, I collaborated with the client to iterate on the pixelated textures and polish the overall visual rhythm for maximum impact.
